Lemony Snicket returns.
Home Paddock reminds
us that on this day in 1985, Keri Hulme’s The
Bone People won the Booker Prize.
A novelist friend emails that the New York
agent he met in Frankfurt likes
the new novel and will shop it around.
So here are the Captain and Tennille with
Smokey Robinson’s imperishable “Shop Around”. Never mind the costumes – Toni
Tennille made a few albums of jazz standards that are well worth hunting out. She’s
a fine singer and the arrangements and players are amazing.
