Ursula Bethell and Blind Lemon Jefferson

So here is Blind Lemon Jefferson in 1928 with “See That My Grave is Kept Clean”:


And here is Geoff Muldaur in 1998 with “Got to Find Blind Lemon" which is about wanting to keep Blind Lemon’s grave clean. The full, funny, true story is in the liner notes to his album The Secret Handshake. All together now: “With my broom in my hand, headed out from Jackson Square. I had to get to East Texas, find that graveyard somewhere.”
