Paul Holmes paragraph of the month

I don’t mean to pick on the guy following this post but honestly, look at this from his column in today’s Skank:
I thought I would buy a nice warm jersey yesterday and went into Newmarket to find Hallensteins, only to be told it was gone. All of which makes the Reserve Bank Governor’s recent decision to hike the interest rates highly questionable.
There is much more for connoisseurs of Holmes-flavoured-idiocy in the complete column here.

I don't believe he shops at Hallensteins. Seriously.

I don't believe he can *spell* Hallensteins.

Yes I would be disappointed if he were a Hallensteins man. It seems a trifle - OK, a lot - insincere. Though perhaps times are hard in the designer olive oil market.

And as for trying to find a Hallensteins in Newmarket - Jesus, how long since he has been to Broadway?

Of course he would be shopping at Hellensteins. Men of the people - even little media meggies - stay in touch with the peasants. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get his undies at the Red Shed, and then its straight into Maccas for one of those five buck specials - with the Big Mac and the Fries - finishing off a tough day mingling with the folks by getting down to the Stock Cars.
